Blessed to Bless

Words of Hope and Calling from Ephesians

Have you ever felt worthless and rejected? Or have you felt guilty because of how you failed someone? Perhaps you know what it’s like to be left out, or to wonder why your life seems to have no purpose. This sermon series, “Blessed to Bless,” takes important messages from the book of Ephesians and applies them to these issues and more. What’s more, having received these blessings we hear the call to share them with others so they also can experience God’s love and care.

If you need a reminder that you have value, that you are forgiven, that you belong, that you are loved and respected, that God has a purpose for you—then join us Sundays at 10 AM for these encouraging messages.

October 2

Chosen – “I have value.”

Because I am chosen by God, my life has value, and my feelings of significance and self-worth come from within.

Blessed

October 9

Saved – “I am forgiven.”

When we were dead in our sins, God saved us and made us alive. Because Jesus gave His life for me, I am forgiven and cleansed of all my sins.

Diverse – “I belong.”

We come from lots of different backgrounds and races. But we belong together because of these two things we have in common: we are all sinners, and we are all saved the same way—through the Savior Jesus Christ.

Prayer

October 23

Prayer – “I talk to God.”

Ever want to just have an intimate talk with a good friend, or a parent or sibling? Through prayer I can talk to my Creator, my Savior, my heavenly Father.

Team

October 30

United – “I’m part of a group.”

Not everyone is just like me! And though that has its challenges, I am part of a group of people who are committed to each other and to the God who gave us those differences to accomplish His purpose.

Family – “I am loved and respected.”

Marriages and families have been hit hard over the last several years. God’s vision is for the family—and all of us—to have mutual love and respect, to treat each other with kindness and appreciation.

Career

November 13

Career/Work/Job – “I have a calling.”

It’s not just the ministers who minister. I have a calling in whatever I do throughout my work week and play time—to honor God and serve others in the Name of Jesus.

Prepared – “I’m still standing.”

The spiritual battles we face each day require special armor, the full armor of God. Being prepared to face whatever Satan throws at us we confidently say, by the grace and power of God, “I’m still standing.”
